This is a good song to use to learn a fingerpicking style because the pattern is fairly simple and fun to play. The bass note alternates between the bottom two strings as the other strings stay in a constant pattern, then the bass note stays constant while the highest note alternates between the two highest strings. The best way to play this pattern is to use the thumb for the bottom 3 strings, the index for the G string, and the ring finger for the B and E strings in the manner displayed in the video. However, some may find it easier to learn by only using the thumb and index fingers.
Note that this song is in Drop D with a capo at the second fret
